I know several Chem Engs with overseas diplomas. Every single one of them took up some other occupation. Even foreign doctors among my acquaintances have better track record, as far as employment is concerned. I'd say this is not a good indicator...

Move to Calgary and apply for everything that asks for Chem or Mechanical Eng.

Your chances of success will be dramatically greater.

The only chem engs I know in Toronto burned their degrees and are doing ISO 900x consulting.

Everything is bad in Toronto because of the mass population, you have a much better chance moving to Alberta and working in the Oil and Gas industry.

I know they exist, but why Toronto? Is the place the city of gold? Try Alberta, easier to find jobs.

You will need to look for them. They are not easy to find. I know a few who is working near t.o. In nuclear type job.
