Chevy Bolt...383km /charge for $30k plus

hows the stock in GTA? can we buy one in this month if we wanted to?
Thinking of leasing it for 2/3 yrs or so until my model 3 shows up.

Just priced it on their website, total after everything is $44495+tax-incentive=$36279, still pretty pricey.

I wonder how reliable the Bolt is (compared to a Model 3) when the Volt (except for the 2017 engine issues) seem to be quite a reliable vehicle.

I'd love to drive zoom zoom (courteously of course) in an EV but if it will cost me more to maintain (repair) down the road, maybe I really didn't save on fuel costs in the first placed, just pushed it out a few years.

The 0-60mph (96km/h) test results are ~6.5s, so I'm sure it probably hits 100km/h by 7s (there's no shift points to worry about).

Most test results are either US (0-60mph) or EU (0-100km/h), where it's probably not on sale yet. I don't think any Canadian auto journalists bother to do their own instrumented testing.

I also heard EVs lend themselves well to AWD / dual motors. On the Model S, it seems most of the failure / issues with the drive train unit is from models that were not equipped with dual motors.

Any movement on price? Lease or purchase? Range in winter (highway speeds using heat!!!!)? Do you find the interior REALLY feels like a $10k car (doesn't to me)?

I'm actually super interested to hear about winter mileage with heat

Me too. I drive 120km to work daily, half highway, which seems to be just out of range of most of the 30/33kw battery cars according to other owners unless I drive like a nanny and don't use the heat.

Price isnt budging for now i paid msrp

Man could not imagine not using the heat in the winter. Especially for a 120km drive.

I've been driving an i3 since last summer, and the winter definitely causes a hit on range. Highway speeds, plus heat can reduce the range by a solid 30+%.

The Bolt (and other longer range EVs) I think will be ok with it though since it does have considerable range.

I would guess that 250km range on cold winter days with heat running is relatively safe to achieve.
