I don't remember how much we paid, but would think it was like $40+. I wouldn't really say it's a rip off. I don't mind paying extra for something I really want and esp since we don't have it where we live. I want to go somewhere else this summer bc Maple Yip is kind of old, and I personally prefer cleaner and more modern places. Doesnt have to be very upscale and all, but not as dated as Maple Yip.

We ordered the braised grouper belly or tail from there and it was good. It's also bc Chinese restaurants here doesn't serve this dish.

I don't think it is worth the price for what u are getting.

A whole Cantonese fried chicken is easily $20-$30. I've seen a Hong Kong cook / travel show that a chef from a Hong Kong restaurant demonstrated how to debone a whole chicken for this dish, and it is very time consuming. Plus the extra ingredients and cooking time for the stuffing. I think it can justify the additional cost from a regular Cantonese fried chicken.
