Child Care expenses Claim

Hello All,

I understand that you can Claim upto 8000 for children under 8. Is there a portion that you get back or pretty much if you income in 90K, you end up as your income was 82 and get tax portion back on the 8K paid as child care expenses?

Thanks

You want a definite confirmation?
Plug your numbers into the tax software and see the results!

you get around 30% back. we claimed the full 16000 last 2 years and got around 5000$ back each time.

Tax Credits directly reduce the amount of tax you pay while tax deductions reduce your taxable income.
