Front seats don't move down unless the XC90 was started. I think you're referring to manual seat adjusters.

How would you fully fold the 2nd row left seat that you're currently sitting on, when the 2nd row centre and right seats are occupied with child seats?
I was talking about folding the front passenger seat forward, not the second row seats. Does it not fold down in your car, also how hard it is to reach the start button from rear seat. Or remote start perhaps? I think your getting stuck had more to do with your inability to move the child car seats around.

Also, next time take off the headrest and see if you can fit over the seat.

Go one step further by using the key fob to open all windows and sunroof to escape!

You can't climb over?
If this were really a life or death scenario, you're telling me you would have been trapped in there?

The op is trolling us. I climb through the front to back and back to front all the time. No point going out in the freezing weather or rainy weather. The whole point of having a 3 row car is to have space.

I think we are working on the assumption that OP couldn't reach the ignition to turn the fob or press the button, which ever he has

He does own an XC90...IIRC, he posted some pics a while back.
I think he's scared of damaging the leather or some of the fancy gadgets
He's not just scared to damage them. The consit8on of the car is worth dying over.

I'm still waiting for those pics.

@Engineered you gotta confirm OP's measurements when you meet up with him.

If it's the push start then u need to hold the brake... so that won't work.

Do minivans have child safety locks on the sliding doors?
Yes, minivans also have power sliding door, and can be control from the key fob and a lot more space inside.

You can get into ACC mode without pressing the brake.

The starter is right below the shifter on the xc90, so it’s a lot easier to reach than most other cars where it’s on the dash. Pretty sure turning the starter without the brake puts it in the accessory mode which will allow the opening of windows.

But just an FYI for the op, you don’t even need to turn the car on to open the windows.

You should contact Ctv news and volvo.

The 2 of you couldve got stuck there for days and froze to death or starved.

There should be some law put in to prevent this from happening again.

You my friend are a true survivor!

How old are your kids? Could you have picked up one of the kids, put them in the front seat and get them to press on the ignition button twice, then open the windows from the back?

Or keep a long stick in the back seat so you can push the ignition yourself?
