Strictly for the image of status, right? Debadge the emblems and nobody will know you don't have the Hemi.

chrysler 300
Yep... thats right. The chrysler 300
What do you think of these cars? Are they reliable?
I was thinking of getting a 300 and dropping some double deuces on it to low ride on low pro's

Just my opinion here so feel free to disregard it:
1. Chrysler 300 are decent vehicles but no one, and no one will mistake it for anything but a Chrysler; so disregard the rims unless you really like the style.
2. Your modifications have been done 100x by every "baller" who don't have the cash to do it to a real luxury vehicle like a Benz. 300 is the most played out vehicle to date...
Sorry if my opinion is a bit harsh but I really hate how played out the 300C have become; they were nice looking vehicles when they came out but dropping 20s on a vehicle that is worth almost as much as the rims (ok so 20k might be a bit more) is pointless. Not to mention a car that your grandparents probably agree was a good choice and purchased their 300 based on the same values; haha._______________Resident vehicle detailing enthusiast - PM for detailing related questions

Looks great but too flashy for my taste. A little unsophisticated but that depends on personal taste. I think it's pretty notorious for having bad blind spots due to high window lines.

all ih ave to say is these cars have great 'percieved' value. they make you look rich, but it won't break the bank.
h/w it looks like it'll have a large blind spot.

I had one of these for a week as a rental last year. My impressions:
Highs:
- Big trunk and back seat
- Pretty smooth on the road
- Decent performance with V6
Lows:
- Interior has lots of cheap touches
- Steering felt a bit disconnected from road
- Ride is a bit floaty
- Window sills are very high and windows are small, like being in a rolling bunker
If you're into "traditional" AMerican cars then this beats stuff like the Buicks, Crown Vics, etc. Underneath the car is Mercedes old E-Class, so the engineering is solid. You'll be able to pick one up cheap these days too.
However don't expect great resale value. And Consumer Reports rates reliability as below average.

car's played out. doesnt have the ballin status that it once had (for like 3 months). i'd be all for it if u were getting the SRT8 though...dont need to throw rims on that to show off ur "status"
not to mention it's used as grocery getter for a whole lotta 50-somethings who retired early. lol_______________
