I see the 3:92 rear end is standard in Rebel... Cool, And its a $125 option to drop down to 3:21 whereas with my Outdoors-man I had to pay $125 to go from 3:21 to 3:55.

Just to remind people don't buy from downsview. They don't feel the need to obligate their promises.

And I don't understand why, or who would order it. Changing to 3.21 DECREASES the tow from 7200 to around 4800.

I think people mistakenly believe it will help with fuel economy. theoretically it does. In real life not so much

Yes, that is what it's supposed to do, but I have never seen true comparison studies. And if it did then ram would have it as stock, to ensure they are the most fuel efficient as that is a huge marketing bullet point.

Even if it does save on fuel slightly, loosing half your tow rating for it is a horrible choice.

I hear its because of how efficient the 8 speed tranny is, it will change its shift pattern etc under any gear ratio...and hold different gears etc.

Tow rating is just a manufacturer recommendation. It's not a law. And the axle ratio doesn't affect anything safety-wise. Especially with an 8 speed transmission.

The problem with towing with a Ram 1500 is the laughably low payload ratings. My brother in law's Ram has a payload rating that's 200lbs lower than the one on my wife's Buick. If you put 5 grown men in the cab of a Ram, and their hockey equipment in the back, you're over your GVWR and you're breaking the law. Don't even think about towing a trailer anywhere near 10 000lbs. Even my 5000lb trailer would put most Rams over their weight limit. The V6s can actually be better for towing because they weigh less than the v8s, so there's more payload.

So many dealers in ontario added the 3.21 to the rebel :( the 3.92 and the diff upgrade are very important features for me. I anyone could shoot me a pm about a good dealer to build one for 43 or under "on the road" please let me know :) thanks for all the good info in the thread.

Where are you located? I know a dealer that will sell at 100% unhaggle prices -25 %. You can build it with what you want. You may also get some goodies thrown in if you work the deal a bit harder.

But if you do the math on unhaggle prices here is the following.

49967 rebel
500 ish for LSD rear end
3.92 is standard

1795 freight
100 air tax

-25%
+ Tax

Is around 44300 on the road. You maaaay get it for slightly under.

Should get it for thousands less than that, 25% off is a factory program and dealer maintains margin and these trucks have ridiculous margin

The prices I posted is dealer invoice pricing, not MSRP. Using those numbers your sitting at basically 32% off MSRP.

I wanted 35 when I got my deal done but it was impossible. 35 was on the highest trim , the limited model as there is more Markup.

Is anyone getting this deal off factory orders? Or is it only on the lot or inbound vehicles?

I'm looking online and nobody around here has Ecodiesel's in stock.
