What CIBC Card is this?

CIBC 0% Transfer until June 2012, 1% fee
Got this with my CIBC stmt; it's not a card that I use very often, so I guess this is CIBC's way of generating fees
- 1% transfer fee
- 0% until June 2012 stmt date
- offer code 0012158
Insert says call 1-800-465-4653 to initiate transfer over the phone
There's two physical cheques attached to the promo leaflet, but there's no personal info on the cheque -- so I'm guessing that anyone with a CIBC product can call in to inquire.
Enjoy!Last edited by charliebrown; Feb 9th, 2012 at 10:14 AM. Reason: forgot to include telephone # for CIBC call centre

This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Why do that when you can get the same offer from MBNA for 15 months?

Like the poster above has said, the 1% transfer fee for using the money for just 3 months kills the deal IMO. I hate how banks are advertising these as "0%" when in reality the balance transfer fees can become significant when you are forced to borrow for short lengths of time. Not complaining, as the rates would still be very low, but just sayin'

My fiancée received a letter with 0% CIBC balance transfer (1% transfer fee) ending August 2012.
Offer code is 0012139 (note: different than the OP's code). The number to call is the same as that in the OP: 1-800-465-4653
I called in and used the code without problem. The amount borrowed ($7,800) will expire August 2012 and the $24,000 on my MBNA 0% BT card will expire Feburary 2013.Last edited by dgodsell; Feb 16th, 2012 at 03:04 PM.
