I applied last Friday in branch and it was declined instantly despite having personal and business accounts for the past 15 years and credit score of 720+.
After 1hours of hassle, they finally told me to have it applied by my Financial advisor, so did I.
After few day my FA responded back stating that applying for this card is like applying for a mortagage and asked me to send 2 years of Financial statements of the business, 2 years personal notice of assessment and incorporation certificates and what not.
As I already got dinged with credit check, No point of stepping back.
I am gathering all my info and sending to them.

But this will be my last transaction with them and I will move my business to TD or some other bank where they respect the loyal customers.
PS: I have 2 mortagages, TFSA/RRSP/RESP accounts filled with their high MER mutual funds and only one of their Dividend VISA card with no AF waiver.
Where as I have TD AI Account, and no other investments/mortgages with them, but 5+ TD premium cards without any AF due.

From multiple reports, applying for the Business Aeroplan vs Business Adventura are 2 different processes.I recently applied for the Biz Adventura online...no `real business` and approved without requiring any proof or`further details of `business .

Me-thinks that CIBC are deliberately discouraging applications for the aeroplan product....for a reason.

Just spoke to head office guy and got some clarification. The details as follows
There are two different Aerogold Business cards. One is regular "Business" and other is "Business Plus"
the difference, the which profile the card displays. "Busiiness Plus" will be displayed/tagged to the Business itself and available in Business Bureau,
Where as regular "Business" card shows in personal credit bureau.

"Business Plus" needs all the financial statements, stake holders equities etc and takes 15 days to process,
Where as the regular "BusinesS" card is simple personal card but on the name of the business but liability is on person itself.

I was been told that Regular Business card AF is FYF, where as the "Business Plus" no FYF but the benefits are same for both of them. i.e, 30k Aero Plan miles.

I am going for "Regular Business" Aerogold visa to avoid all the hassles and will update once I get the approval and miles credited to my AP account.

Tip:, I would suggest, to click "Meet us" link under the "Business Plus" link and provide your phone number, where the head office specialist calls you and apply instantly.

If it's been over 3 months since your approval, don't wait - call and ask for a supervisor to manually credit you the 10K. They will deny the additional 10K, until you speak to a supervisor.

Even for regular, they wanted to see my business financial information which I declined to provide. That info is for me and the government and not some office worm...
I use voice typing, expect mistakes...

For regular Business, they did not asked me anything and got approved after 3 days with manual intervention by my financial advisor.
Received an email yesterday from Aero Plan that I will get the AP miles after I activate and do charge the minimum amount or some thing.

Anyone know a CIBC branch in Toronto/GTA that has signed up people for Aerogold Business 35K FYF offer? I'm looking for a CIBC rep in the GTA. Thanks

Been looking at this card in awhile. Has anyone seen FYF in the last year?

The offer right now is 35k aeroplan points but $180 AF.

SO THE OFFER IS ON AGAIN.

Doing this online causes a lot of headaches and same with over the phone. I was told that to anti money luandering rules made in 2019 business credit cards go through more scructiny which means they will take 48 hours to be manually looked at.

Speaking to CIBIC rep over the phone it looks they may want a copy of your business tax filings. or T2125 Form is you said your were a Sole Propriatory business.

It's a T2124...and that's correct; the most recent one filed.

Thanks.
Not sure. YMMV I guess. I've been in business for years so it wasn't an issue.
