For those that have maxed out EQ, etc offers, Manulife Bank offers 2.25% chequing account until April 30 2018. No minimum balance required.
Tried searching but can't seem to find more info. Can you provide a link?

You cannot just sign up for one by yourself, it needs to be done by a financial advisor, or through his/her link. Unfortunately I can only help those are in Vancouver, BC. Here's a link to the T&C: http://www.manulifebank.ca/wps/wcm/conn ... a699c3f6bf

Quick question:

I can go in to branch, sign up for just the 2.3% savings account? Give them a cheque from my bank of $5000 to link account? (presuming instant) and then move rest over myself electronically?

No fees despite not having a chequing account?

Ok so I have the cibc eADvantage open with 2.3% - How do I transfer cash from my chequing from TD account? They wouldn't accept my void cheque to link like any of the other banks like Tangerine, EQ, etc...

Thanks

None of the big 5 will let u link account to another big5 bank's account for the obvious reason.
Why I dont even bother opening a "high interest" savings account with more than 1 big5 bank cuz its nearly impossible to move funds when needed to...

Go to cibc and ask for cash or draft....or link cibc to tangerine or eq ( unless you dont like these options)and transfer to there. There rates are usually better. And once in tang or eq can pull to td. I know an electronic merrygoround.

Does the promotion work if I open a ESA and transfer money from my CIBC chequing account to the new ESA?
