I don’t think so .. Cibc would only see the $100 pmt to amazon

This is what I’m planning on doing , double dip
Probably right, I mistook multiple purchases to mean multiple transactions. In that case, it's odd that the multiple purchases term is even there.

I think it means that if you buy more than one $100 giftcard, they will only just give you the $10?

For those that received this offer, does it show up in "my messages"(top right corner) on cibc online website?
Thanks

Is the $100 purchases needed before or after tax?
Have a nice day!

I just spent $101 before taxes using my cibc card. Went online to cibc to check and noticed only charged for 2 of the 3 items purchased. Thats because amazon charges you when they ship the item not when you make the order.

Sound like I'm going have to call CIBC in a month to explain that I did purchase over $100 on the 16th of july but the visa charge date will be 17th or 19th.

I think you should look at a few banks before deciding. Either visit bank websites or google best Canadian credit cards for example. Also some cards offer different features eg points for traveling people. The lowest interest cibc visa card that I know of is at 13.99%, but I'm trying to get the mbna mc that offers 8.99% https://www.mbna.ca/en/credit-cards/bro ... ategories/

I ended up spending over $100 on the 16th, and it shows online on my cibc accout, so I should be good. My plan was to email them with screen shots from amazon and also pdf invoices that show amazon order date.
