[Cineplex] 9 Movie Star Wars Marathon incl. Rise of Skywalker - Scotiabank Theatre Toronto 12/18/19 $59.99

Image

Remember the 22 movie MCU/Avengers marathon: 22-movie-marvel-studios-marathon-incl-a ... 9-2276106/

Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre Toronto is back with a 9 film (3 Trilogy) Star Wars Marathon, including Rise of Skywalker. $59.99 before taxes. Regular screen theatre, like the MCU marathon. Tickets also include commemorative pin and blanket, and a special concession offer. Event starts at 7pm on the 18th, and ends with the Rise of Skywalker premiere around 5pm on the 19th.

Rough eyeballing, and the theatre looks 30-35% sold out already.

Not my thing but upvoted for reminding me to book tickets for RoS. I got my choice of seats for the first Saturday 7:30 show.

Experience all nine Star Wars saga films in one epic day. Fans will receive a commemorative pin and blanket, and a special concession offer.

I wonder what that auditorium will smell like by the time they screen Episode 9. I hope the ventilation system is cranked that day.

Reminds me I wanted to re-see the first 3 movies again. Those are the ones I don’t remember too well but remember they were quite entertaining. Forgot how annoying JarJar is, needs to refresh my memory.

Not very interested in seeing 4-8 again any time soon. Too mainstream and overplayed.

My girlfriend and I went back when TLJ released. It was actually a great experience. Seeing the Prequel trilogy again in theaters brought back some great memories and seeing the OT for the first time was just amazing.

The blanket we got is really nice (large fleece blanket) and I'm hoping the one this year is the same or similar. I don't remember what the "special concession offer" was. They gave us free small bags of popcorn. Seats weren't reserved. I don't know if they will technically be this year or if they're just selling them as reserved because that's how the system is set up.

It did get a little stinky, but not unbearable. Most people were pretty good with having a minimum level of personal hygiene. There was about 30 min between films, which allowed enough time to get something to eat, go to the bathroom and walk around a bit. If I recall, the price for the last marathon was $70, so this is a great deal.

If anyone else is going, I'll see you there. Bring your Switch because we'll be playing Mario Kart in line.

I would only ever consider a Star Wars or Marvel marathon if it's at a theatre with recliner seats for optimal power napping.

Or just do a marathon for the eight movies in December at home, well before December 19th.

12 year old me would've loved this deal. Now I value sleep and hygiene over entertainment.

just sign up for disney plus for $80 for the year. Watch all 8 movies in the comfort of your home with no BO smell and then spend $25 for a VIP ticket for Rise of Skywalker. Its double the price but you get a year's streaming service out of it and you won't catch any diseases.
