As most of you know, AMC theaters in Canada have been bought out and changed to Cineplex ones. To compensate customers, Cineplex are giving customers a free movie pass when they trade in their AMC MovieWatcher card. My sister did this last night. They didn't check how many points you've earned which sucks but I suppose it better than nothing.

What theater did she do this in, and was it just at customer service? I haven't been able to find anything about this online. Interested to see if anyone else has had success with this.
EDIT: Just spoke to Yonge and Dundas location, woman said that they will swap it out for 1 movie pass. She also said that she's not sure how long the offer is going for.
Not sure how your sis got 5, but good for her!

Not even YMMV, apparently their corporate policy is to exchange one card for one free pass. So his sister definitely got lucky!
Also, FYI cineplex only bought out 4 AMC locations in the GTA and AMC Canada still exists

Just spoke with her right now, she only 1 got pass, the others were from cards her friends gave her so lucky indeed lol.
And it was at Courtney Park Cineplex. Sorry to get everybody's hopes up, guess its better than nothing.
Will use mine towards Dark Knight Rises

Great! I have like 5 MovieWatcher Cards I will redeem soon. I knew these things would have value eventually.
Edit: On another note, last week saw a movie at AMC Oakville (now Cineplex) the service was poor. Took 10 minutes to purchase tickets, and they forgot to turn down the lights until 1/2 way though the movie! Thanks to the OP for this. Headed to Cineplex tomorrow and will try and swap my card for a pass.
I know this is not the right spot for this but hopefully since it is cineplex related people can let it slide. What exactly does "NO PASSES" mean? I'm not entirely sure what it excludes from use.
