Just so everyone is aware that when you select HD or SD movies for download they are either encoded 480p or 720p from Cineplex and not 1080p. For 1080P the coding should be HDX. I can't find any movies that are HDX
When I bought the HD version and tried streaming it, it didn't even look 720p.

i bought the Blue Ray physical copies with UV, I've tried the UV, and you get full HDX (1080P). Have you tried any HD downloads with UV? I didn't buy any HD download yet, so i can't tell you about the quality.

If someone here was able to watch movies bought at the Cineplex Store through the CinemaNow app, let me know. On my side none of the movies I bought shows up there. Same think with Ultraviolet. I cannot get the Cineplex movies to show up anywhere else than the ancient Roxio player or directly through their website.

The quality through streaming is very variable, may depend on the network speed. However, if I download the movie to watch it instead, I feel that the quality is basically 720p.

27" iMac. The resolution is actually too high. But agreed that I haven't tried it on my 42" 720p TV because that would require finding a way to watch these stupid movies on something else than a computer. Gggrrr...

Better check if they have the ultraviolet logos if u buying digital and thinking of adding them onto ur library.

Didn't realize it til later that kung fu panda 1+2 were not ultraviolet and can just be watched on cineplexs player only. I guess worse case I have 2000poiunts for an ultraavx movie next year.

I bought a few UV digital movies from the Cineplex store. When I go to the UV website and tried to watch it there, it redirects you back to Cineplex's website to stream it from there. There is no option to download.

I bought World War Z digital... and turned out it's not Ultraviolet. Stuck watching it on a 13in laptop... couldn't stream to PS3, must be protected or locked.

On another note, it's suck that I paid extra for digital in HD (should be 4GB) but Cineplex gives it in SD format (1.4GB) Tried phoning and waited over an hour with no success. They don't care now that they have the monopoly in this business.
