[Cineplex] Cineplex: UltraAVX Movie Pass or 1000 Scene Points (with purchase of BR/DVD)

AndrewRFD edit: Cineplex has informed us that the promotion will resume/start on June 1st at noon. On the subject of outstanding Scene Points, Cineplex is still working on that and we'll report back when we have something more.

------------

For the month of June, get a FREE UltraAVX Movie Pass with each purchase of a DVD or Blu-ray from the Cineplex Store. This deal applies to the entire Cineplex Store - new releases and catalouge titles. If you buy a digital movie from the Cineplex Store you get 1000 Scene points to use for an UltraAVX movie.

This deal runs from May 31 June 1 - June 30.

So if you bought a 9.99 blu-ray you get 1000 scene points and a bag of M&Ms? That's pretty good IMO. As long as you find a half decent movie.

Hot deal, but you should still specify purchase necessary in the Title.

What's the cheapest interesting Blu-Ray you guys can find?

Sounds good, but not sure where the OP is getting this information from. Pretty good scoop for someone's first post. Guess I'll wait until tomorrow and see if it happens.

looks like the download options might be better than disc...
eg. for Zero Dark Thirty:
HD download = 125 + bonus 1000 points for $25
SD download = 100 + bonus 1400 points for $20
while the Blu ray is $26 + S/H

It probably will only apply to certain titles. Cold deal when they sell most of their movies for $30, when they can be found in-store for $10 or so.

Unless the offer applies to all titles, but I highly doubt they'll do that (despite what the OP says).

Usually they offer 500 bonus points for new release, overpriced titles, I don't see why they'd offer 500 more points for cheaper options.

try for digital less than $5...
there are various muppets ones for $3 with 15 + bonus 1000 points
I understood from the OP that it was with the purchase of DVD or BluRay.

Now $3 would be super hot if true...

edit: it is true! here's the link to the four $3 movie deals:

these are also good for UltraAVX Movie Passes and IMAX. I'd like a few to see Man of Steel. :)

Are those Muppet digitals the cheapest ones? How long would it take for the points to get added to the scene card?
