Thanks, BestOffer!
This deal works out to be the same price as regular admission, so another way of looking at it is 'free popcorn and pop with your movie ticket'. You still get the same number of Scene points, but you -cannot- redeem your Scene points for this deal. If you do, you'll only receive the movie ticket and the full amount of Scene points will be deducted.. ripping yourself off!
You do not need to be a Telus subscriber in order to take advantage of this deal.

So is this canada-wide?
You just show up on Tuesdays and automatically get this promo??_______________
From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

When I went to the theatre about 3 weeks ago they had this deal on with no advertising. I just payed for my ticket at the express checkout system, and it printed a $5.85 voucher to use at the concession. When I showed them my ticket they handed me a medium pop and popcorn.
So essentially if you go to watch a movie not intending to eat or drink crap then there are no savings for you. But free popcorn doesn't hurt I guess.

Hmm, must be new. I recall that when it launched, redeeming points would only get you the ticket no popcorn/drink.

The Telus/Cineplex offer is good on Tuesdays ONLY under two conditions for me...
1- The movie has a lot of CGI and action/FX etc. I.E. a blockbuster movie
2- I feel like eating popcorn and having a drink...I.E. I am hungry / thirsty (or you can save it if you will watch a movie at one of their cinemas within 10 days)
Here is a better deal for you Cinema lovers:
Rainbow Cinema's Tuesday deal is only $4 per movie all day long. You don't even pay tax on your ticket (they are an independant Cinema i guess). So $4 is all you pay! (either that ...or tax is already included...but either way sweet price.)
The bonus thing is that they are underground...so NOBODY can annoy you with their Cellphone ringing or talking on it...as there is no signal.
The Cinema screens are much smaller than the Cineplex ones of course. But the sound is good and you are not going to be sitting that far away anyway.
Also, their regular prices are great too. Matinees are $6 all week and regular prices are $8.50 for adults, $6 for kids, $6 for seniors. They even have mother movie days..for moms. It is just one of the last few old-school cinema's around.
You can also try Bloor Cinema which is a must for movie-buffs too with very nice ticket prices too.
Members of Bloor Cinema ticket prices: (They don't have Tuesday deals...and special screenings/festival movies have their prices...ranging from $10 to $13 usually...but sometimes costing $20+ depending)
* Matinee $5.00
* Evening $6.00
* Premiere $8.00
* Memberships can be purchased at the box office, cost $3 and are valid for 6 months.
So basically, if you are not a member, the first time you buy a ticket they will by default add the membership amount ($3) to your member ticket price (e.g. $6 for evening shows). The next time you go, you only show them your member card which they gave you last time and pay just the member ticket price above.

Enjoy the movies peeps!

The one in my area makes me pay full price on the movie tickets, and gives us the free concession.
What I will be doing in the future is buy the tickets for a tuesday listing, get the voucher and then come friday and exchange the early week listing for a new movie listing and get my free popcorn.
As far as Im concerned, if the ticket was purchased and never been used, you are entitled to an exchange of another date (im pretty sure it can be any movies) since the price for all of them are the same.
Its not like the one at scarb town centre where you pay half price for everything.

Like butter with your popcorn but don't feel like paying? If you're with someone else, see if they'll put butter on it instead of getting the second popcorn, that is if you don't want to save the voucher to use again.
Worked for me last week
Can't believe they still charge for butter, prices are ridiculous as it is.
Oh, and if you look at your ticket, you'll see that they are giving you the "admission" price at half, but then throw in a "Service/Other" fee to cover the concession.Last edited by dalegribble; Nov 5th, 2009 at 11:57 PM.
