Civic DX-G vs. Corolla CE (extended pkg B)
Civic is $31/mnth more expensive.
Insurance is the same - I've checked with the agent.
How would you compare their features?

what do the trim specs on their respective websites say?
I looked at the sport versus LE+moonroof a bit over a year ago, my impression then was that the Civic had the looks and feel, Corolla had a few more features and (small) price advantage. But you should compare the trim's features.

Did you actually sit and drive both? I have always found that the civic costs more for the same options. I still got it because I liked the styling and interior better.

So far I found that Corolla has Trip computer, Low tire pressure indicator, Stability control, Electronic traction control, Brake assist system
Civic has 5 speeds automatic transmission, better handling and acceleration. MSN doesn't show if they have heated mirrors
I don't really know what that "Trip computer" includes and what "Brake assist system" is (is that the ABS?). I understand "traction control" though - must be good on ice/water.

Yes, I drove both. Liked Civic better - more comfortable sits and more 'sportive' driving. But looks like Corolla has some extra features... I'd like to try them on an icy road. Too late now I guess.

AFAIK the trip computer shows the fuel economy constantly. In the civic, I calculate that manually when I fill up gas, and then reset the trip counter.
btw the civic speedometer is digital, and all displays become miles by pushing a button (helps when driving into the US).

The Corolla trip computer has elapsed time, average speed, average fuel economy, instantaneous fuel usage, distance to empty (fuel indicator light). Brake assist helps to apply additional braking pressure during panic stops. If the brake pedal is depressed very quickly, the brake assist will help to add braking pressure. Not sure it is all that useful except for someone with really weak leg muscles. I have never heard of anyone not being able to lock the wheels (activate ABS) even on dry pavement.

Corolla's interior is very boring, Civic is more stylish IMO.
