It's basically a Vitamix clone @ $170. I bought mine about 6 months about @ $300 and it has been worth it. I've found the CleanBlend (with the 3HP motor) can blend basically anything I throw in it, and it has held up with no issues. Reviews online rate it highly and tend to rate the Cleanblend as comparable or slightly better than a Vitamix. Details below:

Cleanblend Commercial Blender
$169.99

Efficient 3 horsepower motor
Oversized, virtually unbreakable 64-ounce BPA Free container
Stainless steel enclosed blade assembly with sealed ball bearing
Includes tamper wand for extreme processing power
Metal-to-metal driver
NEW 5 Year Warranty Included (Previously a 2 year warranty)

"Cleanblend has designed the perfect blender to help you through the journey to better health. It is a 3 horsepower, dynamo of a blender, that will liquefy fruits and vegetables to get the most vitamins, proteins and antioxidants from the whole food into one delicious drink. The Cleanblend blender is less expensive than its competition but with all the same features. We guarantee the blenders for five (5) years and have focused on quality in every detail, including a BPA Free container. Welcome to the next generation of commercial blenders. Welcome to Cleanblend."

Quick conversation on Google 3HP=2237watts, so 20.33amps. Not for regular 15amp outlet

I doubt you can take the 3HP quoted figure (could be peak etc) and calculate the actual power draw. I was looking at this blender as well and have never seen any issues about the power draw mentioned.

You can actually go through to the final checkout page on Amazon before submitting, but it still shows $9.99 shipping and no tax/import fees estimate. Even if it were to go through (which I still doubt it would), you may be in for a surprise re:brokerage/duty when it arrives...

Edit: I suppose a Vitamix clone that is actually available in Canada is the Omniblender:

This is false. It is for a regular outlet.

3 HP is probably the peak speed. It probably has a continuous rating around 1.5. Not to mention the motor efficiency is going to be around 65%.

Probably runs around 6A.

I just tried to place an order direct from cleanblend and they let me select an address in Canada (I didn't pay for the blender) $169 USD does seem a good price.
