Clicking on email address links problem!
Whenever I click on an email link on a thread or msn, or whatever, Outlook does not open, and I get about 65 Blank IE popups, why is this happeneing of a sudden?
weird!

sounds like some sort of ad/mal-ware

Done Virus scans, ad-aware scans, computer seems to be clean....

Things were fine until, I installed mozilla firefox, i was using that for a bit, my bookmarks werent saving properly, so i just went back to ie, and uninstalled firefox, this is when this happened...

Sounds like a virus or adware/malware to me too. I'd check that before trying to 'fix' anything.

No clients to choose from in the drop down box?
Hmm, looks like you have no registered email clients with IE...(maybe something got screwed up when you uninstalled Firefox)
So just try the regedit step then, well you just open the registry and navigate to the [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto folder and right click anywhere on the right window and select "New" and "String Value" and name it "URL Protocol"
Should create a new empty value that looks like this :

I did those steps originally, actually there was no 'mailto' folder, so i created one, and created string, still didn't work......any ideas?
