If all of the paperwork is in order: mortgage documents, insurance binder, etc, etc., then, depending on how your mortgage company likes to do things, your lawyer should have you in a couple of days before closing to sign everything. At least, thats how it worked for us.

If you call them in advance, you get a cheaper price, but they can even do it in 1 or 2 days, but the price usually changes.
