Closing old mutual fund account

Hey,
Early on, I got roped into some Primerica mutual funds. I've since learned better and pulled the funds out (in kind) into a brokerage, sold and now doing my own thing.

That said, so I need to close the old accounts (1 with Franklin Templeton and 1 with AGF)

If they're regular mutual fund accounts with those companies you can have them moved to your discount brokerage. Just call the discount brokerage about how to do this. You'll probably sign a from and fax it to them with a copy of the AGF/FT statements.

The funds have been moved already.
Accounts have $0 balance. Do I have to call in to formally close the accounts.
