Club Monaco Jeans Sizing
So I just bought a pair of mens jeans from Club Monaco. However, when i tried them on again today i found that they are too loose on the waist. The price tag on the jeans clearly say that they are 30waist/32length. Also, the huge tag on the back pocket has a big 30 on it. Whats odd is that this tag, on a very small, somewhat hidden, portion has a 34X32 marking on it.
I measured the waist and sure enough it is 34" around. What gives? I thought I bought a pair of jeans that was 30" in waist?
I also have another pair of CM jeans from a year ago. I bought them also thinking that they are 30" waist, however, when i just measured them they are actually 32". These ones fit me perfectly though.
I dont get it.. Why are these jeans marked as 30" when they are clearly not?

Some sizes from different companies/models/cuts fit differently I guess. I remember trying on a FCUK pair of jeans that were 30 and they fitted more like a 32 or 33. The 28s fit like a 30.
I also have two pairs from Guess. One 30 is a bit tighter than the other 30. Only thing I have are my two Sevens which fit pretty much the same.
I guess they are kinda like shoes. Different model/company/type of shoe differs in sizes.
But with your new pair of jeans, it's probably a defect.

it's true that each company makes sizes differently.
in fact, many do "vanity sizing" and make the clothes slightly larger than they are labelled. So in the end you'll find yourself buying smaller sizes, and that's supposed to make customers feel good about themselves.
although i'm not saying CM actually does that. you should go exchange the pants, and try on the new ones first!Last edited by susi_h; Sep 13th, 2006 at 09:39 PM.
