CMA AP Winter 2013 - module 1 first exam
I am enrolled in CMA accelerated program ... it is time consuming and pretty intense. I have been out of school for awhile.
For anyone who has taken the AP course, can you offer some study suggestions for the first exam? any other practice exams out there ?
First exam is in 3-4 weeks and I want to prepare as early as possbile. I already watch the videos and do the examples 2x a week. I am not as 'studious' as others, but I am a very hard worker and will do all the extra problems to get thru this.
thanks

do the examples completely and time yourself. don't eyeball the steps and think 'yeah i can do this'. actually solve the questions completely. you'll find that you get stuck at some points that you didn't think of or made the wrong assumptions about.
once you're okay solving the questions accurately then work on your speed. if i recall correctly, first module has the pensions topic covered and the questions are time consuming. it's almost for certain that they'll throw a pensions question in there so you should be comfortable with them.
my first module had problems on cash flow and pensions, i forget what else
good luck!

I am kinda concerned about short answer section because there are so many topics to cover. I plan to take 3-4 hrs every night for a week to study each quiz thoroughly, and then each of the harder problems in homework we were assigned. I have not written a unversity exam in 15+ yrs... its should interesting.

How did you find the module 1 exam? Which questions did you find easy/which were difficult?

Module 1 exam is pretty good, no surprises, but I had the problem with my time management, most of the problems are similar with the quiz, sample problems, and the review problems. What I was not prepared is the time pressure. Next time I will make sure that I practise with time pressure.
Module 1 - 67%
