I'd love to get a few bags but living in the west makes this difficult. Would they ship to me if I call?

75% is probably pretty accurate, I'd say.
Did they sell other men's goods, or just wallets?

All the ladies I know are carrying Coach, including my wife LOL so it's getting too popular now.
We were at this factory outlet last weekend and was pretty disappointed. My wife couldn't find a leather jacket she likes at the Danier outlet. I ended up buying a hoodie at Roots because it was fairly chilly and we didn't bring enough clothing._______________
If you are looking to purchase a Monarch home in Ottawa, I can help walk you through the process. We just bought one and can offer advice on upgrades, among other things. Please PM for details
Feel free to thank me if you find my posts helpful

I bought a Coach purse last month at a retail store for $500 and my mom saw it this past weekend at the Niagara outlet and now she is rubbing it in my face.
Not cool!

I don't give a crap about what race they were but I'm shocked to hear the place was "packed".
Somehow the idea of a wackload of people shoehorning themselves into a store like pigs at a trough just to get discounts on fancy labels that they think makes them look/feel rich seems pretty pathetic.
Wonder if they still feel like a million bucks carrying around that bag of theirs when they remember how they got it compared to the actual well off who are buying the brand in high end shops.
Thanks but I'll continue to use my Ikea messenger bag. At least I'm not pretending to be something I'm not._______________There's no billing mistakes when you get your TV and phone for free!

wha?
Where sales exist, so too will customers to consume it. By your logic, we should all be buying clothing from wal-mart and wearing dollar store sandals. Is it so pathetic that people would like to "rise above" their social level when given the opportunity to do so?
Clothing at old navy is -much- more expensive than clothing at Wal-mart. But, clothing at old navy during boxing day is about the same price as clothing at Wal-mart. Of course, for the 20-30k (family) income level, old navy clothing would be not be accessible for them. But, on boxing day, when given the opportunity to instead purchase for the same price from Old Navy instead of Wal-mart, many people would seize this opportunity. Would you look down on them for "pretending to be something [they're] not"?
I may have the actual figures wrong, but my example was meant to illustrate a point. Opportunities often do come up to purchase "more expensive" goods for the same price as "less expensive" goods (as in a sale, or outlet malls, etc). The result is that products that appear to be upper-middle class at the regular price (such as Coach) are de facto middle-class level products that are also enjoyed by the upper-middle class. Similarly, products that are normally upper-class (such as Fendi, BMW, etc.) are de facto upper-middle class products that are also enjoyed by the upper-class.
Why you are abhorred by the idea of people buying products meant for other income levels is beyond me. I think everyone has the freedom to spend their income (wisely); this freedom should be celebrated, not reprimanded.

Rise above their social status by carrying last years "it bag" that's on clearance? How about working towards and demanding a more just society to actually enable them to rise above their social class?
I'm sure people could find comparable bags in Chinatown for much less than even at these discounted prices or, yes, at big box retailers (Wal-Mart inclusive).
It's this obsession, in part, with brand names and trends because someone saw "Paris" wearing it on e-talk that's caused the world economy to go in the toilet. People paying more for crap than it's worth just because it has a fancy name on the front.
If people want their family to rise above their social class I'd buy a comparable bag for less elsewhere and put that money to their kids college education (or even their own).
Hell even going out on the town for the night is a better use of the funds imho.Last edited by NG; Apr 21st, 2009 at 01:11 AM.
