Which company has the best price for student insurance?

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to buy my first car, probably 2010 Corolla.

Any idea how much the insurance will be around?

Any recommended insurance agents/ brokers?

Thanks RFDER!

Depending on your record and where you live, i can place you with economical insurance which is for underage drivers

Get ready to bend over. First car and a Corolla... you're looking at 350+ per month lol

Racecar for a first car, not a wise decision

Teddy, go see an insurance broker and find out any method to reduce your premium. Not sure of your age, but if you are under 25 and a primary insurer than you will be looking at some very high premiums in Ontario.

It will cost a lot especially if you are under 25. Take the bus instead.

There is no such thing as 'student insurance'. If anything, stating that you'll be driving the car daily to school will get you the highest rate.

Insurance will only get "cheaper" after you graduate from university/college. I know my university has alumni rates that give me quite a bit of a discount on my insurance.

Ask insurance companies your considering for the cheapest models for you to insure, balance reliability with savings to make the most cost effective decision.
The best decision is to not get a car at all, can you make do with bus, ebike or car share?

all depends on certain factors, such as age, location, driving experience etc etc..
one company may be good for one person whereas it may not be for another..

I was with Meloche Monnex when I was a student. I had a 2 door v6 'sports' car and my insurance was about $450/month when I was 17. At that time RBC wanted over $700 and similar prices from other companies including Wawanesa.. I don't think bel air was around at the time. Each year it went down gradually but the biggest differences came when I switched vehicles. In my experience corollas were not cheap to insure.. As such I took Corolla off my list and noticed that higher end cars like accord/Camry were substantially cheaper to insure even though they were faster and better equipped
