Comparing Motorola KRZR K1 vs A2100 vs Treo
I know this may be difficult and don't know if anyone can help but I'm looking to replace my cheapy phone and a broken Tungsten T. I had ordered a Treo 650 from Rogers but after a week they still hadn't shipped it yet so I cancelled. Now I've seen the KRZR K1 and A2100...nice.
Any thoughts? I'd like an all in one phone/contacts/calendar.
TIA

try gsmarena.com or phonescoop.com to compare. You'll probably have more luck typing in Motorola A1200 for your search.

Thanks very much. Good comparison features.
BTW, has anyone ever bought an unlocked phone from a distributor (not eBay)? Would these phones have the same functions and features as the ones I would buy from Rogers?

yes, and in some cases (if not all), will have menus and features that came stock enabled from the manufacturer, that were NOT hidden/disabled by the provider.
Of course...there's no warantee (in most cases), unless you are certified that there is one.
p.s. You're comparing data devices, with standard high-end phones....you can't do that.

Doesn't the A1200 have some PDA features as well? I know the K1 doesn't have the same features as the A1200 or Treo but found it before the A1200.
All I want is something to keep my full contacts (name & address), good calendar feature (repeat feature for birthdays etc) and a decent phone.
I was checking prices with Hi-Mobile in Mtl and they offer a 1 or 2 year waranty.
Has anyone bought from Hi-Mobile??

Hi-Mobile is actually based out of the states, I believe they just have 'contacts' in Montreal.

Still haven't decided on which phone I want. Hi-Mobile seems to lower the price of their phones quite abit. Last time I checked the A1200 was $345 USD.
My daughter just told me that Blackberry has a new unit out that's aimed at the average consumer for non-work use. Anyone know which model that might be?

hehe...too bad the data prices are still geared towards Federal Govt Budget spending and unaccountability (Well with Rogers anyway).

Blackberry Pearl.
I don't like it that much. It just a BlackBerry with multimedia functions.
