Computer fan and AC question
So I hooked up a PC case fan to an ac adapter by cutting and connecting wires together. All the ac adapters say input 120v and output 12v ac or something like that. I have about 3 different ac adapters around the house and some of them have higher AMP's and higher watts.
What I want to know is, if I have an fan hooked up to an ac showing a label of 1200ma and 24.6 W. Would it use more electricity than using an ac adapter with a label of 834ma and 12 W? Or, would it just be saying, this adapter is capable of outputting this much watts, but might only be using 2 watts to power that pc case fan.
