Condo occupancy "rent" question
Does anyone know if I can claim the occupancy "rent" paid until the condo actually closes as rent for income tax purposes?

Phone up the CRA and ask them. They will soon be entering extended hours for tax season.

I have no idea what you are asking - rephrase your question. Are you talking about rent paid for Ontario Tax credit?

when a condo is near completion, certain floors and units are move-in-ready, even when the building isn't finished. thus, tennets have to pay 'rent' till the building is done (registered with the city).
**good questions. i'm guessing your lawyer who looked over your contract should be able to answer your question.
