I saw your other thread but I'm abit slow and couldn't understand what you were asking.
So some things to check are the cat 5 cables> connections> led's lit on the router and network card.
Do you have a software firewall blocking access on your home network? http://192.168.0.1 through 255
What ip has your computer gotten from the router. ie. 192.168.0.100
Here's how.
In the DOS screen it will show you something like the example on the page.
and the default gateway should read 192.168.0.1 because that is the address of your router.

Connection in Router
Since no one is responding to my other post, I thought I'd make this one more specific. I had connection and internet in my router, now I don't, I am using a trendnet wireless router. I directly inserted internet to router, then router to computer and wireless USB adapter to other computer. I had connection, running fine, and then my internet just died. I then put my internet directly into the computer and it was up and running again. My problem is I can't get connection in my router anymore, how do I get it back?

I think his connection through the router was never working - he had a cached page up and the router was never set up.
It's just a guess but it sure looks like it.

Some troubleshooting suggestions:
Change every variable one at a time to isolate the culprit.
Start with simple stuff like:
- swapping cables
- try a different port on the router
- connect a different PC (try connecting the wireless PC by cable instead)
Next power down and restart both PC and router.
Next I'd try the factory reset button on the router (note this will erase any custom settings)

look for "default gateway", this should be your router's address. Also, not all routers run the http config interface on port 80, ports 8008 and 8080 are common alternatives for http:
192.168.0.1:8080
192.168.0.1:8008_______________

Still doesn't work, it says the ip in the instruction manual, yet that does not work at all.

This used to be required during the infancy of the WWW, when browsers like Mosaic v0.99 and Netscape 1.x were around and IE was at version 3 I think... after certain versions, they just made the HTTP:// part inherent in the browser.

Fire up your router, plug in on the 'internal' side NOT WAN port and check for 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.254, typically, the .1 address is the default out of the box, if this doesn't work then your default IP of the router has changed. The easiest thing to do then is to just probably hit the RESET button on the back, if your unit has one, I think most do, this will RESET the ROUTER to FACTORY defaults. Once this is done, hit your router IP again, within your browser.

What kind of USB adapter are you using? I bought the trendnet bundle from FS, and the USB died after a day of use, and computer wouldn't recognize it...
