Oh, I didn't try factory resetting it myself. I didn't buy the modem from contact, it was from a reseller. I'll give this a try and I'll report on how it goes. Thanks man!
how much was it if you don't mind me asking?

Did you buy your modem from Contact? Tech support can probably help. I bought my own modem, factory-reset it, then created a new WAN under advanced setup.
I've tried doing a Factory Defaults by going to Management > Settings > Restore Default. Then, after it restarted, I added a new WAN under advanced setup. Still no go.

was it the rfd groupbuy? Also, are you copy/pasting your password and username or typing it? Sometimes a space is added when copying

After you change your SmartRG to bridge mode (delete all the other WAN connections), then connect your router to the modem. In your router there should be a section to set up a new WAN, enter the same username and password there.

It was another RFD member who was a reseller. And nope, I'm typing it all in manually.

the VlanMuxID should be 35, and the other one should be 1, then enter your username@contact.net, password, everything else should be default.

I'm finally up and running.
I am in bridge mode to my R7000 router.

Did a few speed tests:
Speedtest.net = 22.81mbps/10.74mbps (AEI Montreal)
Testmy.net = 20.7mbps/10.9mbps (Washington, DC)
Usenet = 3.0MB/s (but inconsistent)

So far so good.

Thanks Hdub8817, Its working great..Smart as Modem.. and DDwrt -wndr-750 as Router..

Though the speeds are not good on Wireless,,, 15/10. ... If I am able to up the speed that would be great,, any suggestion welcome..

I am on teksavvy (which is alive till April 20) as well 25/2 speed, on my wireless I am getting 20-21/MB.. so I believe it cant be a wireless router issue.

For some reason my connection works well on a bridged connection to another router. Works but speeds only reach up until around 15/10 for me (both wired and wireless).

Hello Saberx,

How can I get the SmartRG SR505n Modem and is it unlocked? I know you're all taking about a group buy. Where do you all meet to get the modem and what is the total price $120 plus tax or can we get it cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks in advance,
Steven
It's this guy we are getting the modems from. He's a reseller. It's unlocked.

I was getting 15/10 at first, then it went up to 24/10. I think the speed varies depending on the traffic.
