I agree 100% with Vilmark. I don't see any problem with your title lines. The more info the better.

That's a good point. I suppose if I take age 18+ as the default position, I'll leave it out unless the rules state something other than that default.
Although given that AoM is 18 in some provinces and 19 in others, I'll continue to include that if necessary.
Thanks for the input!Last edited by ronin1701; Jan 14th, 2012 at 02:10 PM.

Rafflecopter
It would be nice if posters started adding "RC" or something similar in the thread title when posting a new contest.
Or at the very least mention it somewhere in the body of the post.
I'm avoiding those contests entirely._______________

You mean aside from the fact that they make you jump through a bunch of hoops to enter their contests, don't always disclose what those hoops are in advance, and are generally annoying especially when they want to get to you sign up for stuff that's completely unrelated to their website and the contest, such as Facebook "likes", twitter "follows", Google+ whatevers, etc. etc.
If we're required to indicate "FB" and "Twit" then why not "RC", since they always require you to FB and Twit them to enter anyways. You'd think it would be obvious, but apparently not._______________

I treat EST/EDT (UMT-5/BST-5) as default since the majority of contest start and end times are based on the Eastern time zone.
I still try to include an EDT/EST notation in the title if I've got enough space remaining, but not always.
If the time zone isn't EST/EDT, I almost always include the time zone (I say "almost always" because I know I've omitted it on occasion, but that's for "Once" contests, where time zone isn't really a big deal - it's far more important for "Daily" contests because time zone affects when you can submit your next entry).
Or in the case of, for example, the Outrigger contest, I didn't post a time in the thread title - instead I included details on the correct offset within the body of the post (in this case HST which is EDT-6) simply because most folks living in Canada would have no idea what HST is (in a time zone context).Last edited by ronin1701; Apr 12th, 2012 at 10:42 PM.

Of course, in the case of the "Brand Power - Longo's Gift Card" contest I posted yesterday, the "ON only" designator in the thread title should be a dead giveaway about what time zone it's operating in

do we no longer need to put FB or Facebook in the title? I'm opening threads that don't have it yet should.
