Cheer up! End of the month coming up. That's when they draw for contests that ended at the beginning of the month and there were a slew of them this time round. I'm just grateful to have won something in the last month. It gets VERY disheartning to see a few people on this board win oodles while you enter the same contests day after day and win (almost) nothing...

Vorthex, you remind me of me, the less I win, the more my entries go down- kind of counter-intuitive no? But all it usually takes is a win and I'm back in the game until it slows down again.

What I'm finding this year too is that more and more contests just don't interest me so my entries have gone way down from last year (though surprisingly enough, I am winning a lot more prizes). So many contests now require you to hassle your friends and beg for votes (where cheaters typically ruin it for everyone), post pictures or videos (No thanks), or give prizes that are prohibitive such as forcing travel on specific dates (And to see Justin Beiber no doubt). Realistically, how many of us can decide out of the blue to fly to LA to see a concert? I would gladly take a gift card or cash prize worth 10% of the value of a trip where I don't have any say on when I can travel.

I won my Sketchers on June 13th and probably sent my documents 2-3 days later.
Still waiting for them to arrive.

I'm also waiting for my Canadian Tire $50 gift card that I won on June 4th (getting pretty worried about that one)

I know how some of you guys feel. Ive been there, I went from winning a ton of stuff and then into a 2 year slump where i didn't even win a thousand dollar worth of prizes. It does get very discouraging, but things turned back around for me and i have done pretty good the last 2 years. But i was very close to quitting. Don't give up and enter everything you can find.

Trips - Love em.. but come on.. I can't do specific days. The only specific ones I enter are specifically toronto (for weekends) since I am close and won't need a flight to get there I figure I can go late one friday night after work and be home sunday night for work monday.

This year it seems there are WAY more voting contests than ever and ditto for the specifically timed trips. Has anyone else noticed this increase?

I opened the door this morning and waiting on my porch was my luggage I won Monday! That was crazy superfast!!!

My week got even better. I also won a $500 cheque from the weekly draw at WD40. I must have been a redraw cause the last draw was suppose to be July 4th. Couldn't have come at a better time with hubby's work slow since the Japan earthquake. Thanks V for posting!

I was just going to mention that while I understand the frustration with and I very rarely enter timed trips (unless hubby happens to be off), they are usually connected with an event that sponsors it...so it's only fair that it be timed to that event and that only those who can/want to attend the event enter.

and yeah, even the little wins usually keep me going. but absolutely nothing lately. in over 4 years of contesting the most ive won is ~$1300 prize
