continuous failure of spoolsv.exe
Anyone know why/how to correct the spooler (spoolsv.exe) that continously quits after a few seconds and leaves my printer being "unable to connect"? The printer is an HP Laserjet 1012 with a usb connection.
I have the spooler process set to continously re-start itself after it fails. I have also deleted the files in "c:\windows\system32\spool\printer". It worked the last time this happened, but now the spooler won't stay up for more than 30 seconds at a time.

I have the 1012, no problems with it here. Try this:

also another one, if you use BitWare

I'd say try reinstalling the printer drivers first. Remove the printer fully, then reinstall it using the drivers from the cd.
