Are you kidding?!?

GI Joe: Rise of Cobra was a hilarious b-moviesque intentional comedy.

I guess some people were expecting straight up yankee war porn, but this was a way over the top exaggerated sci-fi melodrama that wasn't afraid to laugh at itself.

As for Continuum, it was good enough to get me to record another episode.

well I actually did ask her if she was upset that she wasnt in the new one and she said "dont tell anyone, but I didnt want to be in it"

Plus I read that Lexa Doig will be making an appearance later in the season, so that covers off SG:1
C'mon now, more like Andromeda :)

Lexa Doig appeared in Seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1.

She played Dr. Carolyn Lam, the SGC's Chief Medical Officer (replacing Dr. Frasier who had died in Season 8(?)).

But yes, Andromeda too. I don't suppose it would be too much to ask for Lisa Ryder to show up on Continuum as well? :D

That's too bad - the second one looks like it may be better than the original (although to be fair, the bar wasn't set particularly high).

RN was also in Alias and last year she was part of Criminal Minds. As for Lexa she was as was the guy who played CSM in X Files were in some episodes of Smallville. Should also mention CSM was in some episodes as a pryor (sp) Lexa hubby Mike Shanks is appearing in a show with Lois from Smallville called Saving Hope I believe is the name. I have yet to watch my DVD dub maybe later on tonite. Thats the fun thing about Canadian tv that is filmed in Canada so much we made a drinking game of it either take a drink when a Canadian actor/actress appears on the screen and talks or when a non Canadian actor/actress appears and speaks on screen. It depends on our mood.

Just wondering who the actor is who plays the Asian male fugitive? I sure it's not him, but he's the spitting image of a guy I knew in high school.

Oops, and forgot to mention a Tony Amendola (Master Bra'tac) sighting, so SG-1 appears to have the lead (for the moment).

Take a look at her imdb filmography. She's been in practically EVERY Canadian sci-fi series of the past two decades, bar BSG, Sliders, and X-Files. I kid you not. Check it out:

Michael Shanks has gotten around too.

Probably no coincidence that the two are married.

I hadn't heard that before today. Wonder if he got her the role on SG1? I remember thinking at the time that it seemed a little odd casting a (part) Asian girl as Bridges' character's daughter. She didn't seem to have much of a role either, seeing as the Farscape and Firefly transplants carried much of those final two seasons. Wonder what they're up to now, especially the two ladies?

In-story, they got around that by making her Gen. Landry's Vietnamese love child from when he was a pilot during the Vietnam War.

Doig only had a recurring status on the show, as opposed to the Farscapers who were full cast members.

Who in SG-1 was from Firefly? I know Jewel Staite/Dr. Keller in SG:A was also Kaylee from Firefly, but I don't recall anyone else.

I'm still waiting for the 2nd season of Alphas, as well as the Blood and Chrome pilot movie. Falling Skies was laughable so I'm not expecting much from the 2nd season of that. This new series...not a priority. Have too much stuff to try to catch up on now, plus all the summer movies. Perhaps something to add to the PVR...

Surely you've not forgotten the lovely (yet villainous) Morena:

Terrible characters, but a lovely lady. :D

Jewel Staite's another one who was sadly underused on SG. Seems to be a case of casting them as lady doctors then forgetting them. That will probably be why the original female doctor moved on. The only doctor who got a decent role was the Scottish guy. And the medic girl from SGU, though I don't particularly consider that a SG show.
