cooperative games
Can someone tell me which games offer coop of 3 or more players with a storyline?
For example, I want a game on PC where three people are working together as a team playing a storyline.
Another question.
For Rainbow Six LV, when you use system link, you can only have one person per console, so for 3 people to play together in coop, you need 3 consoles and copies of game. Are there games that allow two person on one console and the third person on one console using system link?

Left 4 Dead is a coop game, but story line is pretty lacking. It is a zombie game afterall.
Borderlands also supports up to 4 player online coop.

Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata offer 4 and 3 player Co-op respectively. All on the same console. Outside of battle however only one person is controlling it. Each player controls a character in combat. I'd recommend Vesperia over Sonata. It's $19.95 at Future Shop if you can find it.

Borderlands & L4D are both FPS. Borderlands is on XBOX 360 & PC. I think L4D is as well.

This is a great site showing you all co-op/multi player games. Very resourceful.
Unfortunately, what you're looking for is somewhat lacking considering you need 1) Coop story 2) 3+ players. In my opinion, the majority of coop story games are 2 players, those with little to no story, are 4 players.
Good luck!

Looking at that list, I agree that 4-player co-op is very limited. 4-player multiplayer FPS'es like CoD exist, but they're not story-driven. I would guess it's a matter of system resources and scaling the levels for 1-4 players.
You're basically limited to music, sports, and some puzzles and RPGs.
LAN gives you more options though.
