Cordless phone batteries
I have a crappy Memorex MPH6935 cordless phone that uses NiCd batteries and i need to buy a replacement battery pack. My question is, can i used NiMH batteries with my phone? Will it be safe? Where can i find some inexpensive NiMH cordless phone batteries?
Thanks.

i've heard this can be done and I have AA nimhs that i recharge on a nicad charger all the time.
May have shortened the life of the nimhs, but hey, I'm sure i've already gotten my moneys worth. (considering i got my nimhs for free

It's likely to be fine. You may be able to find replacement NiMH battery pack on eBay. However, all pre-made replacement NiMH battery packs are very expensive. In fact, it may even cost more than a new basic 900Mhz phone.
Take a quick look at the battery pack. Does it look like AA-size rechargeable batteries inside ? If yes, you could build one yourself for a fraction of the price.
I highly recommend using NiMH in cordless phones. Perfect combination.
