It looks good on some people, but I personally don't wear cords! I say if it looks good on you, then go for it.

Cords - essential part of a man's wardrobe?
What are your thoughts on corduroy pants? Old fashioned? Boyish immaturity? Or timeless classic, essential for the fall?
5 pocket, chino style, or something different?
Basic khaki, black, blue or ?
Wide leg, baggy, bootcut or straight?
What about a corduroy blazer? Jacket?

I don't like cords either. The cord blazers are supposed to be in but I don't like them.

Eh, I could do without cords. I wear jeans pretty much every day anyways. Good alternative to jeans for fall, esp low-rise boot-cut cords could pretty much replace jeans in any outfit in the fall.
Just bought a cord blazer though.

i like cords in certain colors for bottoms... but not tops (i.e. blazers).
problem i have with cords is that many manufacturers can't seem to make them properly, or stylish enough. for example, GAP cords are pretty bad. I only wear my pair when i'm inside my house.
RL Polo cords are great, and they have the exact color I want (that dark brownish shade) but I didn't feel like spending so much. the in-between brands don't really have anything to offer.

I don't like em, so I don't wear em. And no, I don't feel they are necessary by any means.
