Santa Rosa and Centrino are not processors
They are code names for the entire package of certain features on laptops.
Centrino, for example, meant the laptop had certain features such as the Pentium M CPU chip and built in wireless.
Santa Rosa is similar but instead is uses an updated Merom based Core 2 Duo chip.

Core 2 Duo vs Santa Rosa vs Centrino?
These processor types confuse me. Core 2 Duo seems to be the latest hit. Centrino M is old and crappy now. Santa Rosa is an upgrade of Centrino. Is Santa Rosa supposed to be much better than Core 2 Duo?
