MSRP is $358+tax with a 3.49% interest rate. How did you get such a low interest rate from them?

I'm seeing 1.49% with Build & Price.

Throw in another 1% loyalty rate reduction and it's 0.49%?

Edit: I think you're looking at the hatchback, while OP is referring to the sedan.

Forget the monthly payment, tell us what the negotiated price of the car is.

Also, if you're looking at the 2019 Corolla sedan, I would hold off... ancient design paired with ancient engine. The 2020 Corolla Sedan (or the 2019 Corolla Hatchback) are built on the new global platform and new engine with better fuel economy and more power. Or, if you like antiques, the longer you hold out the bigger the incentives get as we get closer to the 2020 Corolla being released this calendar year.

I need to get a car ASAP, can’t wait and also not picky on brand.
The low payment with some options that I want it was the reason I negotiated on this car

Not sure what’s MSRP for a sedan
Frankly I did not negotiate at all
I only asked to get a set of winter tires and rims without paying anything

Ah, I see. Well, in that case, MSRP is $322+tax with 1.49%. If Toyota is knocking off $20/month and reducing the interest by 1%, that's decent. There isn't a lot of margin at this price point. I suspect they are starting to clear out the ancient 2019 models to make room for the 2020 model, hence the discounts.

That's about $1000 worth of stuff. Best of luck to you.

Then grab the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, which is the new, improved car.

You can't trust the dealership to do the math for you. If you want the good deal, read the offer and see what the price of the car is, then see the discount they are giving you (it's one of the lines on the sheet)... if you act naive and let the dealership steer you through, and use tricky math like quoting prices in monthly payments, frankly speaking they're going to take you to bank. There are other negotiating techniques that put the ball in your court, like sending an email bomb to all dealers in your area. You should figure out what winter tires and rims they're going to throw in for you and find out how much they'd cost if you got them yourself.

You should also be aware that the ancient Corolla also does not come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which is a notable omission when you're buying the highest and most expensive trim level for the Corolla (the Corolla Hatchback does have Apple CarPlay though). If the dealer has led you on to believe what they have priced for you is a trim level with "some options" rather than "all the options at the highest price", then they are being entirely dishonest with you and you should buy elsewhere. If money is tight, the normal 2019 Corolla in CE trim level already comes with Toyota Safety Sense, Backup Camera, Bluetooth and 6.1" display w/o Apple CarPlay and has a price differential out the door of $5k (which translates to $271 / mo less further discount negotiated).

Stop persuading people on the new Corolla. It's a better car but there is a reason why this lease is cheap. It won't be cheap if it's not being cleared.

And I would assume choices will narrow as they get cleared out.

If you are owning or financing, which means you are taking the depreciation loss, it make sense to wait for new Corolla. Leasing, if deal is good and you are ok with it. Go crazy.

Wth if you are set on leasing it lease it. just do your due diligence so you arent geting ripped off. Make sure they arent cheaping out on winter tires with some chinese garbage.

Why does op have to wait till 2020 corolla is out? its a lease, lower the payment the better

You can go for 39 mo lease which would make your interest rate 0%
Pretty sure they have more wiggle room than that because its a top end trim

Check your insurance rate too corolla and civic are generally higher in the segment

Suprise no one ask if it lease or finance and what's the length? It's good if its financed on 39 or 42 months term. Not so good if it's leased on 84 months term.

He literally said 48 months and 20k mileage in the post you quoted.

There's no mileage for finance, so it's obviously a lease.

It also says lease in the title.
