I have to help organize a corporate "social" gathering for my department. Just wondering if you can suggest or recommend some ideas. My department has around 80 people and we would like to do something on a weekday in late April or early May from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Any ideas? Has your workplace or department done anything really cool that you enjoyed?
Let me know.
Thanks.

Will this be during the day or in the evening? If it's in the evening, you guys can always have a bar host your get together.

Last summer we had a party for our entire building roughly 300 employees.
We had multiple large tents setup in the parking lot with a DJ and free booze/food. Everyone had two tickets which you could exchange for 2 drinks.
The evening capped off by having a water fight - basically it was the guys against the girls :D
It was quite a blast._______________
Why are hurricanes named after women? When they come they are wet and wild but when they leave they take your house AND your car.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked ronny1980 for this post.

Like somebody else mentioned, Woodbine Racetrack is a great idea. Rent one of those corporate rooms, each person gets like a 5 dollar voucher and 2 drink tix, and get catering (the food is pretty good). They'll even get somebody there to explain to you how to bet on horsies. It's a lot of fun.
