Cost of Propane

With the heating season coming upon us, I was curious as to what everyone is paying per litre of propane, the supplier, and the area that they live. I just got fuel a month ago, but I'm not at home, so I'll post my price when I get home.

I get my propane from Sparlings. Cost per litre is 0.769. Located near Alliston Ontario.

I have to use propane heat as well and am not sure to go with my company's price freeze for the winter. It happens to be 77.7 cents per litre. It probably will reach that and more over the winter but if they have anything to do with gas prices it may even go down. I paid 73.7 in August and if they fill me up in the next week I'll know what the price is at for now. I guess I'll accept the price lock-in but there's a chance prices won't go that high. And its a 6 month term so anything can happen in that time.

I own my tank so I called around to get prices:
Superior- 84.89 plus 22.95 delivery fee
Stinson- 71.9
Budget- won't deliver since they don't own the tank
Levac- 71

WOW, Superior isn't cheap, are they? I wonder with fuel prices going down (gas), if the price of propane will also go down this year? That would be nice.

I'm paying 0.633c/L with Levac and they own the tanks. (This includes carbon tax)

Are you on the auto top-up plan? I think Levac's price might be cheaper if you get on that plan since the truck doesn't make a special trip just for you. I wonder if whoever called for a quote asked for that when they called.

I think my company doesnt care about auto plan or will call but how many actual litres i use in a year which mine are low. I have just my furnace on both house and shop on the propane lines from that are connected to 2- 420 lbs tanks, so in the summer i dont use any propane at all just fill up 4-5 times in winter thats all.

Stupid question ... when they fill up ... the tanks are supposed to indicate what on the levels ? Mine were just filled ... again ... 2 tanks (not sure capacity of each but 2 big tanks from Stinson) and after 415.16$ i go check and one says about 75 and the other about 80 ... in a month or so i paid twice (465 and 415$) seems something wrong or this winter is a hell expensive on propane
