I'm looking for something to extend in my house, mesh system is out of budget. Using Rogers white brick modem/router with gigabit internet.

How are reviews, never heard of brand.

Just check Amazon.com, they have 3/5 star ratings, a lot of mixed.

Bestbuy.ca is selling for 149.98, so price match for added discount, 149.98 - $78.99 = 70.99/ 10 = 7.10$

Maybe worth a shot?

This is useless, buy a good second router and set it up as an access point

Thank you, do you have a bad experience with this? Does it keep dropping connections?

This is pretty cool. Here is a Canadian review. Reviews from Amazon and around the web are mixed. Speaking of which Amazon.com has it listed for ~$50/$40 (new/refurb) plus shipping. In my experience, a call to Amazon US [1-877-586-3230] while placing the order, and asking nicely, has yielded free express shipping to Canada, but of course YMMV.

I ordered through Costco and should be receiving it tomorrow, I will let you know how it goes for me. I didn't go with bestbuy is because returning items to Costco is lot easier, no questions asked.

Does this use the same SSID and extend exisitng SSID ranges or does it use a EXT or something else added to the SSID name to create a new SSID that must be connected separately from your main wifi SSID?
That's 30 minutes away, I'll be there in 10.

You need to run a long Ethernet cable from the main router to one of the Ethernet port on the second router. it is apple to orange.

If you're on a budget, and a wired connection will look ugly, you could also set up a wireless bridge between two. Just make sure the "client" router has a good connection to the main one. And the vendor has this vulnerability addressed.
