If you are going to the US or want to order it off Amazon.com, you can get the 128 gig model for $279 US (Best Buy) or $259 US (Amazon)

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-1 ... 692&sr=8-1

Obviously, there is the exchange rate to factor in and shipping/customs fees if you don't go to the US to buy it. It's a better bang for buck with 4 times the storage.

I have both tablets and I regret getting the Amazon Fire HD 10 at $125 (last Black Friday after $25 off coupon). The Samsung Tab A (I paid full price at $299) is much faster and full Android. Fire HD is lagging and disconnect from my Wifi at least twice a week while streaming videos on YouTube/Plex/Netflix. I was able to install Google Play on it, but lots of android Apps are not supported on this Fire HD such as iVMS. I end up mounting it on the wall to use ActionTitles. I would buy the Samsung tablet again when I need another. Probably will spend a bit more to get the Tab S though..

I wouldn't get it for the storage since MicroSD card would be so much cheaper. But the 1GB additional RAM is appealing

Looking for something for the kids to mess around with. I'm used to iPads, so is this easy to transfer movies and such? Like I can just put the movie on the sd card and boom it plays? Put pictures on sd card, boom easy peasy? Cuz I really hate itunes so thats my biggest gripe with the ipad.

Is this tablet gonna last at least 5 years or is it like a PC after 2 years starts to suck and slow down lol

Why is this being downvoted? Seems like a rather solid deal

I had the 2016 version of this tablet, and needless to say, I won't buy another one. 2GB of RAM is simply not enough for Android nowadays (wasn't enough back in 2017 either), and Samsung's UI and bloatware just made it worse. Also one thing to note is that I was unable to stream Netflix in HD quality, due to some DRM Netflix has on their platform, that doesn't support all devices (the definitive list is here)

It still seems fairly challenging to find tablets with 2+ GB of RAM for under $200 as it was back in 2016. I suppose it's because phones are where the money's at, but it's pretty disheartening to see so little progress when apps are becoming less and less optimized.

This was $200 for black Friday and $175 after PC points in Dec. I don't have a time machine and this is also a decent price. Just commenting to provide a point of reference.
