[adidas] Costco: Adidas Vanquish 6 Running Shoe - Mens & Womens - $36.99

Popped into the Brampton Costco today and saw Mens & Women's Adidas Vanquish Running / Training shoe for $36.99. Seems like a good deal. Lots of stock in many sizes.

For men's, they had white with blue stripes, and dark grey with white stripes.

If I'm not mistaken Costco has these at $36.99 for quite a while now (few months)

Those are some ugly shoes. Must come with a coupon for a 1/2 price jean jacket with every purchase.

Is this for people with neutral strides, overpronaters or underpronaters?

I was wondering that myself; the Adidas web site is useless for information like this.

No deal. Bottom of the line shoes. Better idea to wait for a sale at Sport Chek, etc. or spending a few extra $$$ on some real shoes.

Don't assume that everything at Costco is a good deal.

They have them in dark grey which looks much better.

I've always found that Adidas shoes like these have too much stability. As soon as you move to an intermediate level shoe/routine you'll have issues with your ankle.

Here is what I found on Google for the Vanquish 2:

The Pros:Very light shoes, keep you from getting tired. Breathable, keep feet dry and cool. Good cushioning to keep the feet comfortable over a long run.

The Cons:Poor traction for wet surfaces or mud, tend to slip. Not as supportive as other shoes in the same range. Tongues protrude a bit too much, may interfere with your stride.

The Adidas Vanquish 2 are running shoes designed for the average runner looking to push themselves to new heights in running. The 3-D torsion system gives adaptive midfoot support while the pro-moderator medial support device prevents overpronation.

Further to my initial post, this model lacks basic Adidas technology that is found in shoes only slightly more expensive, such as Torsion stability and adiPRENE cushioning. Cold deal.

They feel fine for me - but I use them mostly for walking vs. running.
