Regular price is $78.99 but if you buy two, at checkout the price will be reduced to $98.99

Sorry, but I don't think there is a SINGLE person on this planet who paid $78.99 for one of these. Alright, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but still.

A "regular" price for the Mini is $40.

For the amount of data Google and Amazon are farming they should be paying you to install one of these.

I got 2 for $45 from the Best Buy deal and use them to control my Shield/Xbox setup.

I dont disagree at all, this should be $40 regular price.

Same here, I think they should not cost more than $10-20 at most since the amount of data google and Amazon are receiving with these is priceless.

tried both google home mini and echo mini. as a music player, Google will allow you to used Spotify free account while echo requires a premium account. However, the speaker sound quality and the base on Echo is much better than google home mini.
Which echo did you try re: sound quality? I'm tempted to pick one up but having it sound good is key and the Echo Plus is a bit pricey for my tastes, even at $160 on sale.

I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for one of these. They don’t sound very good and they can’t really do anything you can’t already do on an android phone. Not to mention the data collection lol.

I distinctly remember buying them at two for $39.99 from Best Buy, because of a major price error. Anything under $40 a pop now is the hot deal.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten....

if you use an Android device, or Google on your Windows computer, then you're not telling your Google Home anything it doesn't already know Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes
also seems to me sound depends on what you use the device for, i find my Google Home Mini's have clearer voice sound, but my Insignia Voice Activated Speaker sounds better for music (more bass, treble, etc).

Not a hot deal. Maybe warm if you're desperate.

You might spare some down votes by putting warm or cool in the title...
Maybe post it in the Luke Warm Deals section

How is this considered a HOT DEAL???? COME ON! Is it the first time you've seen this??????

Black Friday and Boxing Day was $35 each! Which would be $70 for two ... and you think $98 for two would be a HOT DEAL???

Thanks for the captain obvious post, I never said it was a hot deal, it's the only place you can post these types of things or else I would posted it in a generic deals thread if that was the case.
