Good deal. I was recently at the Costco in the US. And saw that they carry it in store for $99USD. I'm contemplating on returning the steel one I picked up in store for this.

If I recall correctly, the Torrin one is around 85lbs. This one is 58lbs, so around 27 lbs lighter.

I like the fact that $149.99 includes free shipping to your door.. usually something this heavy doesn't come with free shipping

The last jack I bought was over 100lbs and I managed to hurt my wrist when setting it up. At 60lbs this one is incredibly light, a definite purchase for me.

I've got the Arcan one. I got it at a US Costco when the dollar was better. It's a pretty nice jack. I used to keep it my back shed cause I was worried about it getting stolen from my carport. So it was nice to have less weight. I use it on my 8000lb diesel pickup so I'm sure it's got enough power for the average home user. Also no rustime despite 4 years of outdoor storage.

My Arcan XL35 has a maximum height of 21" plus and it almost looked vertical when lifting a RAV4.

I bought this thing last month at USA Costco after having done a lot (too much) reading about jacks. I have to admit I never thought I would Love a jack. Use it for my F150. Highly recommend this one.

How does one know when to replace a jack?

I've had mine (Mack hydraulic that I bought for about $60) for 10 years, and I've used it about 20-25 times.
It still goes up/down no problem, and the wheels are in good shape.

Anything else to look out for?

I'm using the Canadian Tire (Certified brand) one to change my tires and I'm always worried when lifting my car maybe I should get this one and leave the other one in the car.

I've never seen it in store either, and I was in the market for a jack for a few years. They've carried a couple of different types in store, but I've never seen an aluminum one. But they might eventually have it in store. If I does ever appear in store, it would be cheaper. There is a hidden shipping cost on each item online, so items instore will be cheaper than an identical item online.

No, no membership need to shop Costco online, as far as I know.

Eventually the seals will start leaking, but they can be replaced. Watch for the jack slowly lowering, or you won't be able to pump it to full height. It will feel like you're pumping air once you reach a certain point. My dad still uses one that's at least 20 years old.

You should always worry about a jack failing, no matter which one you have. But that doesn't mean you should replace one if you have it. Stay out of "the bite zone", the area where you could be hurt if the jack fails suddenly. Once you get the car to working height, put jackstands under the frame and lower the jack away.
