-Read store exceptions before combining discounts with cash back sites
-HomeDepot clearance prices are not shown on stocktrack or HD.ca
-There is a difference between NEED (necessities) and WANT (desires). The word NEED is over-used on RFD and in general.

If they got one expired, they should send it back. I have been buying this brand for awhile with good expiry dates. The one I got now is 04/21

Seems like a good deal, but it claims to be both gelatinized and raw which is not possible.

Gelatinisation happens when the maca is heated on a low heat, allowing the roots to separate from its fibrous parts. Most of the nutrients are maintained during this process. Gelatinisation essentially removes the starchy carbohydrates, creating a high concentration of beneficial nutrients. It contains a higher ratio of nutrients than raw maca.

You might want to also google "gelatinized vs raw maca powder" and read different info. I have used both raw, gelatinized, and have gone back to raw.

I believe gelatinized is just easier on the stomach right?

Yes, and there are different thoughts on what is better. "Gelatinized or regular powder, which one is best? Gelatinized maca is usually processed with high heat while regular powder is not. Gelatinization transforms the raw starches of the root making them more digestible and easier to absorb. But it is an industrial process usually made in an extruder and high heat is definitely required to achieve the desired results. While this process makes the nutrients more absorbable the high heat destroys most of them." https://www.organicwellnessnews.com/?ArticleID=909

I tried black gelatinized maca from "The Maca Team" and I'm pretty sure it gave me constipation, but prior to that tried the costco one without these issues.

Do not buy raw unless you’re baking with it.
When maca is prepared in Peru it’s boiled until cooked, it’s not meant to be eaten raw.
