Yeah, sport band is only in black. I was remember seeing it before and interested as it was $10 cheaper than from Apple directly. They also sell a sports band in white and black I believe.

About 5 sport loops left at Warden/Ellesmere https://imgur.com/gallery/oO4lIdJ

Just bought a third party band for $13. Can’t seem justify paying 2x more for something that is functionally identical. Although I would prefer to have authentic Apple accessories, just because.

I'm just trying to help you … it's easy to justify paying more if the quality is better (I'm not saying it is in this case). For example, the Apple one might outlast the 3rd party one, in the end making it better value. Also, when talking about small, infrequent purchases it isn't very useful to rationalize about "2x price" since it's such a small amount anyway.

I’ve tried multiple aftermarket bands for my Apple Watch and I’ve always found the quality is lacking. Apple overcharges for their bands but at $29, that’s a good deal

I don't know if the one you bought is the same, but I bought a third party one for $12 from Amazon because my wife wanted a pink color to switch to. It didn't last a year because the metal magnet contacts and the metal clasp rusted out and the rust would even leave stains on a cloth if you wiped it. By contrast, the original Apple one looks as good as new. The third party one did feel a bit thinner.

Luckily, an official Apple one was available for $9.97 at BB one day on clearance (I got the only one......I couldn't believe that I got it for such a great deal)

Thanks op. I won’t be able to get to Costco for a few days but if there happens to be some I’ll get one.

There are some good 3rd party straps out there such as leather ones from Nomad. Monowear makes some nice nylon ones. I got a metal strap from amazon and it feels so cheap.
