Question. Majority of online movies I stream is equipped with 2.0 stereo only. Would I be better off getting a 2.1 soundbar instead? Cause it would be pointless having the 2 rear speakers be silent when watching them 2.0 audio movies

No, you can set up sound to evenly spread so the rear speakers won't be silient. What it does is it mixes all the channels together and spread out to all available speakers.
The draw back, is of course not as clear left right front rear.

Would this be a total waste for the 65" 1080P Haier 65E3550 that quite a few of us bought from Costco at the beginning of this year? There isn't even an optical out.
Running mine off optical, also called tos-link

Is this type of soundbar overkill for a computer setup? have two big 28 double monitors figure it could go across them

I just ordered this yesterday before the price drop. Does Costco do price adjustments?

Yes, call them. You'll get your credit after it ships. I've done it multiple times without any hassle. Just do it soon.

It's not entirely wireless since the rear satellites have to plug into the sub which itself is wireless from the sound bar.

Also, not all TVs can output 5.1 through optical.

I guess at that price (.97) it's clearance?

Still, has good reviews and a better price now.

Thanks OP.

If it has optical, it supports 5.1

I don't think it's overkill - it'd be pretty sweet actually. I think width wise you're fine, but the soundbar is fairly large in height and depth too, so it might look a bit awkward depending on your setup and desk?

Okay one more question, my dad recently got the Samsung PS-WK450 which is a sound bar and one wireless sub-woofer from costco, he doesn't remember the price just that it was ~$90? off? How does that compare to this?
