So is this worth the price. Wouldn't mind a cheaper 4k set. I don't expect a $2000 set. But picture wise is worth it? The 49" I have a bose sound bar so don't care about cheap sounding speakers..
I would say it's worth the price. I had the $300 hisense from the source, returned it because I had some issues that may have been exclusive to my unit. So far comparatively, I would say the Haier has better color and better motion, but that's just my untrained eye. Mind you, I have a couple spots of backlight bleed that are bugging me. I may exchange my TV for another one to see if it is any better. Nonetheless, still worth the price.

To be fair coming from a China branded TV to China Branded TV the sound is not TOO horrific.

Went from a 39" Insignia to a 49" and the sound is just borderline bareable........

It's terrible but I'll be using it without a soundbar at least until someone posts a good deal here.

For sure. I lasted one day, and found one on kijiji, thankfully.

I couldn't bring myself to buy it after tax etc pushing $430. $200-300 more into a brand worth while. The sound from the speakers truly did suck. If you didn't own a sound bar or some external speakers it would drive one mad.

The $50 off will be back again. Saw the 65" but imagine the sound sucks just as much.

sort of related, but if buying a used sound bar, how would you test it on-site without bringing your TV ?

Hi folks,

Does anyone with an HDMI 2.0 video card know if this tv does 4k@60hz@4:4:4 without downsampling to 4:2:2?

I've read all the threads for this TV and haven't seen anyone confirm/deny it. I know the 55" cannot do 4:4:4 but hoping this one can!

Anyone else have really bad banding/pixelation on this set? Trying to determine if its just my set or a common issue. Other than that, love this thing, especially for the price.
